Meadow Event Park in Doswell was buzzing with excitement August 21-24 as the Northern Neck Kennel Club (NNKC) rolled out its 37th and 38th annual All Breed Dog Shows.
Teaming up with the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club, this four-day extravaganza was part of the Celebrate Virginia Dog Show, said president and show chairman Carol Hughitt.
People came from all over, from nearby states and even farther away, to join in the festivities. About 800 entries showed up on Thursday and Friday and over 1000 on Saturday and Sunday, filling the park with all kinds of breeds, from towering great danes to tiny, energetic papillons.
With seven rings and eight expert judges, the competition was friendly but fierce, said Hughitt. The judges had their work cut out for them….
