Lady Devils showing promise in volleyball

After splitting matches in a doubleheader against Rappahannock County and beating Northampton on the Eastern Shore last week, the Lady Devils are now 2-2 in varsity volleyball.

Lancaster swept the Yellow Jackets, 3-0, on September 9 then lost 2-1 to Rappahannock County in the first of two matches on September 13 before rebounding for a 2-0 win over the visiting Panthers.

Lancaster beat Northampton, 25-13, 25-22 and 25-20 with Lexi VerMeer laying down 11 kills and Kelsie Cox and Kynleigh Wilson putting over six kills each. VerMeer also served over 10 aces and had one block.
