Director Linda Stough has announced the cast of “Public Speaking 101,” a comedy by Mark St. Germain opening November 7 at The Lancaster Players Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.
Heather Jenkins will appear as Sunny Strutt, an outgoing amateur actress who wins a position as a community college instructor and whose public speaking class consists of four adults, all of whom are terrified of speaking.
The ensemble cast also includes Phoebe Hollingsworth as Millie Harrow, a funeral home make-up artist; Blake Gilson as Rev. Lester, a minister who would prefer to sing his sermons; Rick Shurtz as Fletcher Tuft, a geologist and dispassionate writer for Rock Magazine; and Aaron Stevens, as Police Sgt. Mike Gallion, who endures criticism for his blunt communication style.
Weekend performances are November 7-9, 14-16 and 21-23. The box office will open October 2. Tickets are $30. For tickets visit lancasterplayers.org, or call 435-3776.
