In addition to the Blessing of the Animals at the Heathsville Farmers Market, four special events will be featured on Saturday, October 18.
There will be free vision and hearing screening by the Northumberland County Lions Club, the Tavern Blacksmith Guild will announce the winner of the mermaid sculpture raffle, the Northumberland county anti-Litter Committee will distribute litter pick-up kits, and a vendor will take special Halloween photos of children for a small fee.
