For those who’ve dreamed of playing the bagpipes or drums, now’s their chance!
The Kilmarnock & District Pipe Band is looking for new members, including those interested in learning, reported pipe major William Harrison. The band, organized in 1998, plays for public events, area parades and supplies pipers for weddings and funerals on request.
The band provides free instruction to those interested in learning to play the bagpipes or drums, said Harrison.
Experienced pipers and drummers also are most certainly welcome, he said.
The band practices from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Campbell Memorial….
