Halloween Spooktacular welcomes fright night lighted fun on Carter Creek

On Friday, October 17, folks along Carter Creek reported seeing strange lights, sailboats with skeleton crews, ghosts, ghouls and goblins, eerie orange and purple lights.

The first Rappahannock River Yacht Club (RRYC) Halloween Spooktacular Lighted Boat Parade by all accounts was thoroughly enjoyed by the parade participants and viewers at the RRYC docks and other locations, reported vice commodore Glen Solt.

Thirteen boats participated, including the ever-present Carters Creek Duffy, classic cruisers and all manner of power and sailboats. Each presented an imaginative display employing as many lights, blow ups and skeletons as their boats could carry, said Solt.
