Join Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry in the cornfield Saturday, November 8, as the “Opry Does Hee Haw” at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews.
Hee Haw made its television debut on June 15, 1969, almost exactly six years before the Opry. The show will feature the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers, including some special guests, performing the best songs of the hit TV show, along with a tribute to the fun-loving tunes—and corny jokes—of the late Uncle Jimmy Wickham.
