
WEEMS—Jeanne C. White, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2025, shortly after 9 a.m. She was 81 years old.
Born on April 15, 1944, in Weems, Jeanne was the cherished daughter of Ila Belle Clarke and James Dewey Jordan, the loving sister of Goldie Gregg and the beloved aunt of Jimmy Gregg. She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1962 and went on to build a life filled with love, laughter and dedication to family.
Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, James White; and her two sons, Jonathan and Gerry. She also leaves behind her adored grandsons, Isaiah and Nicholas; as well as her niece, nephew and great-nephew, Judy, Howard and Greg Stevens, whom she loved dearly.
Jeanne was the heart and glue of her family, always putting others before herself. Her mischievous sense of humor could brighten any room, often bringing laughter and smiles even in difficult times. Her warmth, kindness and quick wit made her a joy to all who knew her.
She will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her unwavering love and unforgettable spirit. Her love, laughter and tenacity will live on in all who knew her.
A small graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, at Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Weems.
