CASA wreaths
Those who ordered holiday wreaths through the Northern Neck Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) are reminded of upcoming pickup dates and times.
The CASA wreaths can be picked up from 4-6 p.m. December 4 and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. December 5 and 6 at Grace Church, Kilmarnock; 10 a.m.-noon December 6 at Primis Bank, Burgess; and 10 a.m.-noon December 6 at the Saddlery, Warsaw.
Awards luncheon
The Richard Henry Lee Chapter, Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution, will hold its annual awards luncheon Tuesday, December 9, at the Bayne Conference Center, Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems. The social period will begin at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will follow at noon.

Festival of the Trees
The Northern Neck Family YMCA, 39 William B. Graham Court, Kilmarnock, will host the 28th annual Festival of Trees December 5 and 6. The theme is “Together We Shine.” An open house will be held from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. December 5.
A gala and live auction will begin at 6 p.m. December 6. Gala tickets are $100. They can be purchased at ymcavp.org/fot, at the Northern Neck Family YMCA welcome desk, or by emailing fot@ymcavp.org. Those unable to attend may also participate through proxy bidding by calling 435-0223.
Holiday play
“It’s a Wonderful Life” continues at The Westmoreland Players, 16217 Richmond Road, Callao. Shows will be staged at 7:30 p.m. December 5 and 3 p.m. December 6 and 7.

Angel Tree
The Rivah’s “Local Angel Tree Project” is underway. The public is urged to pick up an angel in need from The Rivah, 49 South Main Street, Kilmarnock. Each name on the Angel Tree will have a list of needed or desired items.
Items can then be delivered to The Rivah by December 18. Use gift bags and attach the angel from the tree onto the bag for ease of delivering. Commonly needed items include snacks, blankets, socks, gloves, hats, scarves, toiletries, washcloths, toys, soccer ball, basketball, clothing, shoes and coats.
Village Christmas
The village of Weems will hold a Christmas parade, pageant and potluck dinner at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, December 6, at the end of Weems Road. Guests may park in the Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church parking lot.
Santa’s Workshop
As part of the Golden Village Christmas celebration Saturday, December 6, Santa will visit children from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Santa’s Workshop at the Northern Neck Heritage Arts Center, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville.
Children ages 4-11 can be registered to shop with an elf. Register children at https://grasshoppersignup.com/s/sueyey or call 580-3377. Kids can shop for up to 10 family members and gifts will cost $2 each.
Christmas memories
The Chesapeake Chorale will present Christmas Memories concerts at 8 p.m. December 6 at Lancaster Elementary School, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock; and 3 p.m. December 7 at St. Clare Walker Middle School, 6814 General Puller Highway, Locust Hill.
Tickets are $10, and can be purchased at Country Cottage in White Stone, Pearl Boutique and Chesapeake Bank in Kilmarnock, and from Chorale members and at the door.
Christmas Town
Palestine Lodge #100, 1434 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock, will host Christmas Town at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 7, for ages 1-14. The free event will include music, games, hot chocolate, refreshments, toys, purchased photos with Santa and The Grinch.
Tea time
Susan Anthony-Tolbert will present “A Tale of Tea from Tea Rooms of the Early 20th Century” at 2:30 p.m. December 7, at the Northumberland County Historical Society, 86 Back Street, Heathsville.
Her new book, A Tale of Tea examines the social, cultural, economic and political aspects of the advent of rural tea rooms in America in the 1920s and early 1930s. Light refreshments will be available after the program. Books will be available for purchase.
Kings Return
The a cappella group Kings Return will present an On Stage concert December 13 at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 131 School Street, Kilmarnock. The concert, hosted by the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 7.

Christmas show
Kilmarnock Museum will sponsor a bus trip to the Old Dominion Barn Dance Christmas Show December 13, featuring Ronnie McDowell. The bus will depart from Chesapeake Commons in Kilmarnock at 11:30 a.m. The $140 fee covers roundtrip fare, show tickets and snacks on the bus.

Christmastide
Stratford Hall Historic Preserve, 483 Great House Road, Stratford, will celebrate Christmastide event from 4-7 p.m. December 13. Festivities include tours of the historic home, demonstrations, Colonial music, wagon rides and ornament crafts.
Christmastide tickets are $25 for ages 14 and older, $12 for ages 6-13 and free for ages 5 and younger as well as Friends of Stafford members. Tickets may be purchased at www.stratfordhall.org, or at the Visitor Center.
Paint party
The RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will offer An Adult Paint Party: Holiday Highland Cozy Cow from 10 a.m.-noon on December 20. The instructor will be Juli Schuszler.
