Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against eight individuals.
Felony
William Morris Noel, 39, of Weems was charged December 2 with disregarding signal by law enforcement officer stop; eluding law enforcement (felony); abuse and neglect of children (felony); drive a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended or revoked (misdemeanor); fail to stop at stop sign (summons); revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance (felony); and revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of forging and uttering (felony).
Misdemeanors
A Lancaster woman, 45, was charged December 1 with failure to appear in court on November 19.
A White Stone man, 41, was charged December 1 with failure to appear in court on November 20.
A Kilmarnock man, 64, was charged December 2 with failure to appear in court on November 26.
A Lancaster man, 66, was charged December 2 for non-compliance with VASAP and treatment on the underlying charge of DWI, first offense.
A White Stone man, 24, was charged December 2 with use of profane, threatening or indecent language over a telephone, and trespassing.
A Lancaster woman, 31, was charged December 5 with use of profane, threatening or indecent language over a telephone, and trespassing.
A White Stone man, 76, was charged December 7 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Activity report
December 1: Staff responded to the 100 block of Inlet Cove for a suspicious person, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, and to the 400 block of Greentown Road for an assault.
December 2: Staff responded to the 10000 block of River Road for a larceny, to the 300 block of Ocran Road for a wanted person, and to the 300 block of Rappahannock Drive for a wanted person.
December 3: Staff responded to Conley Road for a suspicious vehicle, and to the 9000 block of Courthouse Road for trespassing.
December 4: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 300 block of Harbour View Drive and 100 block of Peirces Road for adult welfare checks.
December 5: Staff responded to Mary Ball and River roads for a disabled vehicle; and to the 100 block of Inlet Cove for trespassing.
December 6: Staff responded to the 500 block of Rio Vista for destruction of property.
December 7: Staff responded to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash.
Staff also conducted 33 traffic stops, issued 21 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged three inmate transports, received five E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate fire alarms on Bells Creek Lane and School Street.
White Stone VFD responded to a traffic crash on Rappahannock Drive.
