Dual performances boost momentum for the Lancaster High wrestling squad

The Red Devils are 16-5 three weeks into the wrestling season and placed fourth among nine teams in their own Lancaster Duals tournament on Saturday, December 20.

Tabb, which beat Lancaster, 57-15, won the tournament while Mathews was the runner-up and Warwick placed third. Mathews, the only Class 1 team to defeat Lancaster, beat the Devils, 42-30. Warwick also beat LHS, 48-36. The Devils picked up three wins, 53-30 over Northampton, 54-9 over Northumberland and 48-29 over King & Queen.

“We’ve wrestled everybody in our region so far in duals and our only loss is to Mathews,” said LHS coach Craig Oren. “This gives us a good idea of where we are in the region and helps us see what each kid needs to focus on.”
