Katherine Cassidy to join the Peace Corps

Katherine Cassidy who spent 10 years of volunteer service in Africa through 2024, will join the Peace Corps in Kosovo on March 1.

Katherine Cassidy, a member of the White Stone Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR), received a fond farewell from the congregation on February 15 after her talk, “Good Opportunities and Goodbyes.”

She is leaving the White Stone community to become a Peace Corps volunteer in Kosovo. Her last day in Lancaster County is Thursday, February 26.

Founded by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, the Peace Corps has had nearly 250,000 volunteers serving in 100 countries in….
