Lancaster eyes $16 million in capital expenditures for the next five years

LANCASTER—The Lancaster planning commission on Thursday, February 19, heard from department heads as it reviewed capital requests totaling $16,013,768 during fiscal years 2027-31.

The majority of that total comes from a proposed $13.1 million request in 2028 for a new sheriff’s office and emergency medical services (EMS) combined space.

Totals for the next five years include: 2027, $720,364; 2028, $13,983,904; 2029, $461,500; 2030, $296,500; and 2031, $551,500.
