Bluegrass Festival
The Gloucester Moose Family Center, 6565 Moose Drive, Gloucester, will present the 12th annual Bluegrass Festival from noon-9 p.m. March 28. The roster includes County Seat, 1 and 5 p.m.; Solid Rock, 2 and 6 p.m.; Rappahannock Crossing, 3 and 7 p.m.; and Code Blue, 4 and 8 p.m.
Admission is $25 by advance ticket at the Lodge, or 366-7635. Proceeds benefit the VCU Massey Cancer Research and The Children’s Cancer Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
Diamonds & Denim
The annual Diamonds & Denim gala and auction will be held April 25 at Healthy Harvest Food Bank, 55 Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Bloom & Grow
The Northern Neck Master Gardeners will hold a Bloom & Grow Festival and Plant Sale from noon-4 p.m. April 25 at Ingleside Vineyards, 5877 Leedstown Road, Oak Grove.
Admission is free. Attendees will have the opportunity to browse and purchase hundreds of plants spanning over 75 species, all curated for local landscapes.
Music talk
Northern Neck Orchestra music director Michael Repper will give a music study talk to the Rappahannock Music Study Club at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, 132 Lancaster Drive, Irvington.
Repper will present a lesson in music, deconstructing well-known classical pieces on the piano to break down their form and enable better appreciation of the music itself.

SAR luncheon
The Richard Henry Lee Chapter, Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Bayne Conference Center, Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems. The speaker will be Chris Yohn, past president of the Richmond Chapter, and author of the historical novel Liberty’s Land.

Oyster roast
Smith Point Sea Rescue will hold its 30th Oyster Roast from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Cowart Seafood Corp., 755 Lake Landing Drive, Lottsburg. Tickets are $45 and by advance sales only. Purchase tickets at Lilian Lumber Home Center, Jett’s Hardware, R.W.’s Sport Shop, or from any Smith Point Sea Rescue member.
The menu will include raw and steamed oysters, clam chowder, hot dogs, soft drinks and coffee.
Seafood Dinner
