Lancaster improved to 5-1 last weekend after going 2-1 as the runner-up in the Wells Fargo Advisors Invitational varsity softball tournament at Dream Fields March 27-28.

The Lady Devils beat Nandua, 7-1, and shut out Middlesex, 11-0, to advance to the final where Christchurch tallied 13 hits and held Lancaster to one to hand the Lady Devils their first loss of the season, 10-0.

For Christchurch, Avery West struck out 17 LHS batters, didn’t walk any and allowed one hit in a complete game. West and Avery Thomas led the Seahorses offense, batting 3-for-4 each with….
