The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) recently released the 2025 Recreational Boating Incident Summary.
In 2025, there were 75 reportable boating incidents involving 100 vessels and resulting in $493,034 in property damage. Injuries were reported for 46 persons, and there were 10 fatalities.
