Dillon Clarkson of Heathsville doesn’t believe in cutting corners. The owner of Clarkson’s Sealcoating LLC, he believes in correcting them.
Clarkson launched his sealcoating business in January 2025 with eight years experience in asphalt maintenance.

“Over the years, I’ve worked within the industry and saw firsthand the growing trends with jobs rushed, materials stretched thin and spray applications used for the sake of convenience rather than longevity.
“I built this company because I knew there was a better way,” he said.
Clarkson received his LLC classification on August 15, 2025.
The company—usually a one-man operation—does not offer spray applications. Instead, Clarkson uses a brush-on method to ensure the sealcoat is properly worked into the asphalt surface and to create a more uniform, heavier application that holds up against time and the elements.
“While spraying may be faster, it often sacrifices consistency, material thickness and overall durability,” said Clarkson.
