LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, April 10, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Jerrick D. Saunders of Lancaster, charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor for violating probation, a bond hearing was continued to April 24.
In the case of Dwayne P. Walters of Heathsville, appealing a General District Court bond decision, bond was granted.
In the case of Kavon N. Kelley of White Stone, charged with a felony for malicious wounding, a status hearing is scheduled for April 24.
In the case of Anthony J. Germaine of Lancaster, appealing a General District Court civil conviction for refusing a breath/blood test, a trial was continued to May 8.
In the case of Shawn E. Jones of Kilmarnock, charged with two felonies for selling/providing a Schedule I/II substance and one felony for assault on a law enforcement officer, a trial was continued and a status hearing scheduled for May 22.
In the case of Patricia J. Lamberta of Weems, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for shoplifting/altering merchandise, less than $1,000, she was found guilty and given a 90-day suspended sentence. She was also ordered to pay $196 in court costs and pay $17.12 in restitution.
Cintez C. Gibson of Newport News, pleaded guilty to two felonies for violating probation. He was sentenced to five years with four years, 11 months and 16 days suspended, with one year of probation and ordered to pay $218 in court costs. The second charge was dismissed.
