LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, April 17, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Rosa M. Turner of Smithfield, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a status hearing was scheduled for May 8.
In the case of Bryan L. Pratz Jr. of Lancaster, previously found not guilty by reason of insanity for burglary to commit a felony, a review hearing was scheduled for April 16, 2027.
In the case of Russell L. Dodson of Tappahannock, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a show cause hearing was continued to April 24.
Jason P. Harsh of Weems pleaded guilty to a felony for violating probation and was given a four-year, six-month suspended sentence with 12 months of probation and ordered to pay $193 in court costs.
In the case of Kai R. Renton of Heathsville, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was continued to May 22.
In the case of Robert L. Lucas of Lancaster, charged with a felony for malicious wounding, a trial was continued to May 22.
Keylon M. Pruden of Newport News pleaded guilty to a felony for eluding police and was sentenced to five years, four of which were suspended with five years of probation. He was also ordered to pay $435 in court costs.
Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
