History is popping up at used book sale

The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) invites the public to pop-in for a pop-up “History Lovers’ Book Sale” from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, Thursday, May 7, and Friday, May 8, at the Dunton Library for Genealogy & History on the LVHS campus at 8346 Mary Ball Road in Lancaster.

A special pre-sale day for LVHS members only will also be held from noon-6 p.m. Friday, May 1. New members may join at the door for $35 annual dues, said executive director Karen Hart.

The sale will feature more than 500 like-new and gently used non-fiction books related to U.S. and world history from ancient to modern times, biographies, politics and military….
