Writer, director, narrator talks about ‘A Fish Story’

IRVINGTON—Residents and guests of Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury (RWC) were treated to a special showing of “A Fish Story: How Chesapeake Bay Built the Northern Neck,” on Saturday, May 11. The film, produced by Richmond’s 26th Street Productions, interviewed residents and watermen to tell the story of the oyster, crabbing and menhaden industries past and present. Mark Huffman, writer, director and narrator of the film, also was present to answer questions.

Huffman said he wanted people to “understand the impact of the industry and how it touched so many people and families, generation after generation.” Huffman also wanted people to see “how important the work is. Not just menhaden but all….
