KILMARNOCK—The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Town of Kilmarnock, will host the 44th Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade at 7 p.m., Friday, December 8.
The theme is “A Nautical Christmas,” reported parade chairman Rich Ferraro. Jessica Davis, Joan Gravatt and Dan Russell, representing Lancaster County Public Schools, will serve as grand marshals.
The parade is presented by Dominion Energy, along with other sponsors Blue Ridge Bank, Tri-Star Supermarket and Northern Neck Electric Cooperative.
The parade route extends along Main Street and will last approximately an hour. Pre-parade activities start with music and refreshments around 5:30 p.m. throughout the Steptoe’s District. Santa will be available for a pre-parade visit and photo from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Kilmarnock Firehouse on School Street.
There will be no parking on Main Street after 6 p.m. The parade route street closure will extend from 6:45 p.m. until the parade concludes.
