Reedville celebrated Independence Day with a weekend of festivities, including the annual parade. What makes this parade special is that so many in the community get involved. Floats of all makes and sizes, from bicycles and golf carts, to tractors and boats, were decked out in their finest stars and stripes, and of course good ol’ red, white and blue. There was plenty of flag waving along with the politicking and hand-shaking, and an impressive showing by the area’s first responders, whose vehicles stretched out along the parade route for as far as you could see, closing out the parade.
