The Northern Neck District’s only two schools competing in high school sports, Rappahannock and Northumberland, met in the season openers for boys and girls basketball this week.
The varsity Lady Indians will host Tidewater District’s Mathews at 5 p.m. Friday, January 29, and the Blue Devils will travel to Claraville Saturday, January 30, for boys junior varsity and varsity games against Northumberland. NHS was unable to field a JV girls team.
