Wells Fargo Advisors Invitational extends three days at Dream Fields Northumberland High School’s Brock Martin goes airborne on the dive to make the play at the plate during a junior varsity baseball game last Saturday. Lancaster’s Gavyn Hathaway was safe on the slide but Northumberland walked away with the win, 7-3. Thirty teams played 30 games at Dream Fields in Kilmarnock during the three-day Wells Fargo Advisors Invitational Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Teams from as far away as the Eastern Shore and Chesapeake played in the invitational, which featured middle school, junior varsity and varsity softball and baseball teams from both public and private schools.
