LANCASTER—Adalee Lynn Ashburn peacefully left footprints on our hearts January 9, 2018.
She was born in Richmond on March 24, 2015. Adalee was a precious angel who loved the beach, mermaids and being outside. Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, she colored the world with her art and bright smile. Adalee was loved, and had the continuous support of her mother, Amanda Harris; and father, Aaron Ashburn; and sister, Alexis Ashburn. She also is survived by her grandparents, Rebecca and Andrew Harris, Shelia and Dan Brown, and Wendy George; great-grandparents, Mary Ann Haynie Dunaway and CP Hilliard; great-aunt, Tina Dunaway; uncle, Devin Brown and spouse, Ashley; aunt, Hannah Lewellen and spouse, Josh, and aunt, Kasey Ashburn.
Adalee is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lemuel Richard Ashburn and great-grandparents, Harold and Marian Conley, and Frank Dunaway.
Visitation will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at Currie Funeral Home, 116 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, followed by a service at 3 p.m.
The family would like to thank the community for the endless love and support. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established at Chesapeake Bank under Adalee Ashburn.
