WEEMS—Adele Valentina Gallagher “Tina” Sanford, 70, of Weems passed away suddenly on May 6, 2026.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Thomas Benjamin “Ben” Sanford; children, “Rocky” (her beloved German Shepherd), Rebecca Sanford, Beth Selph (Ricky), Belinda Fauntleroy (CJ) and Benji Sanford (Missy); brother, Louis Pagano (Denise); sister, Karen Spinks (Roger); aunt, Danielle Jindra (Ryan); nephews, Nick Pagano, Dylan Spinks (Emma) and Dalton Spinks; great-niece, Ava Jindra; special great-nephew, Owen Spinks; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her very special friends, Veverly Williams and Mary Burns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Joseph Pagano Sr. and Adele Margaret Barth Pagano; and her husband, Chuck Gallagher.
Tina worked for over 20 years at Tri-Star Supermarket, and she and Ben volunteered with the Upper Lancaster and Kilmarnock rescue squads for many years, eventually becoming life members with Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Growing up, her father’s work had the family traveling often, living all over the world, giving Tina an adventurous childhood. Tina had a huge heart. She loved her fur children and being able to help people. She had the most distinctive laugh, earning the nickname “Miss Giggles” by many. If you heard that laugh, you knew Tina was nearby.
A memorial service was held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, and a reception followed at Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department in Lively.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department or the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad.
