After slight zoning hurdle, plans for new entertainment center can continue ‘upward’

LANCASTER—Grab some popcorn. Lancaster County is getting a new movie theater and entertainment center.

In a unanimous 5-0 vote, the board of supervisors agreed to a commercial building height increase which will allow the owners, FEC Enterprises LLC, to build to the requested 40 feet.

The property is just over 22 acres between Wilson and Middlegate roads off of Irvington Road. The tract is part of the Hills Quarter planned community which was rezoned commercial in 1997, but until now, never developed.
