American wins World Croquet Championship

The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, 1860 Twiggs Ferry Road, Hartfield, recently hosted the World Croquet Federation (WCF) 2024 Golf Croquet World Championship final.

The final match was best three of five games that took about five hours to complete, reported club pro Macy White. The final match was a real slug fest between Robert Fletcher of Australia and Blake Fields of Palm Springs, Calif.

Fletcher had a better win/loss record over the entire event, but on finals day, Fields prevailed….
