LANCASTER—Andrew Hamilton “Andy” Sharpe passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 79.
He is survived by his darling wife, Glenda, to whom he was married for 54 years. He was a loving Dad to his cherished daughter, Helen; his beloved son, Iain and wife, Brooke. He was Poppa to his five wonderful grandchildren, Devon, Drake, Liam, Gavin and Zoe.
Andy was born in Liverpool, England, and obtained his master’s in geophysics at Newcastle University. Throughout his career he worked as a geophysicist in the petroleum industry traveling extensively.
His family always came first but his second love was golf. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed nothing more than playing with his golf buddies at Indian Creek. He loved his home in Laurel Point and thought that the Northern Neck was such a special place. He lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for his happy smile.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future at Indian Creek.
