Animal Welfare League donates $250,000 towards NNPP’s safe haven for at-risk pets

KILMARNOCK—Northern Neck Partners for Pets (NNPP) recently announced it has received a $250,000 donation from the Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck (AWL).

This gift will go a long way towards helping NNPP realize the dream of building a private animal shelter and adoption center that will serve the four counties of the Northern Neck, reported president Terrie Dort.

“During this past year, the AWL has received a substantial and generous bequest from the estate of a longtime Lancaster County resident and animal lover. The board of AWL believes she would be very pleased with our decision to honor her memory by ‘paying it forward’ and donating much of her kind gift to support the construction…
