IRVINGTON—Annie Leah Ray Parker, 89, of Irvington passed away in her home on January 10, 2023.
She was born on January 10, 1934, to the late Nellie James and Stanley Copeland.
She leaves to mourn her son, Jack D. Bullock Jr. (Ann); daughter Pamela A. Sands; a grandson that she and her husband raised, Troy D. Bullock; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; a sister; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Parker spent her life in the restaurant industry. She and her husband, the late Charles M. Parker, owned and operated Jamaica Inn in Weems.
In her later years, she became a health aide attendant to many.
She was a faithful member and past treasurer of the Lancaster County Democratic Party. She will be forever remembered and missed by the people that she devotedly loved.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 19, at Keith Matthews Funeral Home, 5665 East Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk VA 23502. The funeral will be live-streamed on Facebook: Keith Mathews Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Albert G. Horton Cemetery, Suffolk.
Family and friends will have repass at the home starting at 4:30 p.m.
