
WEEMS—April M. Blake, 52, of Weems passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Mary and the late Roger Dale Faulk on Palm Sunday, March 26, 1972, in Manassas.
April graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1990, and worked in the Manassas Costco Pharmacy for 13 years. She moved to Kilmarnock in December of 2017.
She loved animals which led to a thriving pet sitting business, and April made numerous friends and developed many close relationships in the area. She was a member of Claybrook Baptist Church, loved to read, dance, travel and making new friends. She was her mother’s best friend and anchor.
April is survived by her husband, Broaddus Blake; her mother, Mary Faulk; brother, Rod Faulk (Tara); niece, Samantha Faulk; aunts and uncles, Harry Kincaid (Janice), Terry Faulk (Joan), Jimmy Dawson and Barbara Compton; and many cousins. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Dilday (Lloyd), Frances Blake Hall, Larnell Blake, Herbert “Big Boy” Blake (Sue), Hubert “Pee Wee” Blake (Robin); and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, at 77 Snowbird Lane in Weems; where she married the love of her life. A reception will follow.
