As filing deadline nears, November 7 ballots are incomplete

KILMARNOCK—With the Tuesday, June 20, filing deadline just days away, some ballots remain incomplete as candidates have not made their intentions official for the November 7 general election.

In addition to state senator and delegate, voters will choose Soil and Water Conservation District directors, Sheriff, Commonwealth’s Attorney, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Commissioner of the Revenue, Treasurer, and some members of the boards of supervisors and school boards. 

At the state level, Republican Hilary Pugh Kent and Democrat John Quincy Smith are seeking the House of Delegates District 67 seat. Republican Sen Richard H. Stuart and Democrat Jolicia Ward are seeking the Senate….
