HEATHSVILLE—A special election for two seats on the Northumberland County School Board will be held in November. Candidates interested in running for the position have until 5 p.m. August 14 to file the necessary paperwork and get on the ballot.
The school board seats representing District 2 and District 3 will be on the November 3 ballot.
The District 2 seat is occupied by Dr. Cheryl Brown Davis, who filled the position following the death of former member Mary Hooper.
The District 3 seat is occupied by Carl Perez, who filled the position following the death of former member Gerald Howard. Both terms expire December 31.
