Members of Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury’s monthly book discussion group got a surprise with the book they chose to read for July: A visit from the author herself.
The group selected That Smudge of Smoke, a 2024 book written by Edith (Edie) Hemingway, a writer living in Heathsville. She discussed her newest historical novel with the group. Written for middle-school readers, the novel spans the years from 1929 to 2015, reported Katherine Cassidy.
