
Marlie Avant, a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR), 366 James Wharf Road, White Stone, will lead the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, September 21. She will present “Gravity, Grit and Grace: The Art of Aging Consciously.”
A Cobbs Creek resident with her husband Roy, Avant is being considered by UUFR’s membership to become its interim lay pastor. The congregation is expected to vote on her candidacy later this fall.
“We will explore how aging can be a vibrant, intentional journey—where the body may change, but the mind remains youthful and resilient,” said Avant. “Through stories and practical wisdom, we will discover how conscious aging lets us….
