Back to sports in Northumberland

Northumberland High School softball players, anxious to get back on the field, held their first out-of-season conditioning workout Monday. Mackenzie Vanlandingham swung away at pitches from coach Michael Baker. Five girls attended the session and followed the school’s plan; players maintained social distance, wore masks and did not share equipment. Northumberland is allowing teams to hold one outdoor workout per week. Softball, cross country and field hockey were all scheduled to hold a conditioning session this week.
