Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville will offer a Heritage Arts Class, Intro to Basket Weaving: Laundry Basket, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 23.
Instructor Mary Sudduth will teach students how to weave a large laundry basket using a 10-inch wood base and several sizes and types of natural reed, reported executive director Corinne Becker. The finished basket will be both attractive and functional, as students learn a variety of basket weaving techniques.
