Bay Transit offers free rides to and from the polls on Election Day

On Election Day, November 5, Bay Transit will provide free rides to and from the polls any time from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. to residents of the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck as well as Charles City, or New Kent counties.

“Simply call the Bay Transit Ride Line at 877-869-6046 by October 31 to make your reservation,” said director Ken Pollock. “All of our buses are wheelchair accessible and lift equipped, so Bay Transit can provide transportation for ambulatory and non-ambulatory voters to and from the polls.”

The last day of in-person early voting at voter registration offices will be November 2.

“Bay Transit is also available to provide transportation for only $2 each way to and from your local registrar’s office or your local voter registration office on any weekday during the normal hours of operation,” Pollock said.
