Lancaster High School junior Claire Beitel shot a four-over-par 74 to finish in a four-way tie for 10th place in the Virginia High School League’s Girls Open Wednesday, October 25, at Heritage Oaks Golf Course in Harrisonburg.
The tournament included 66 female golfers. Beitel qualified by finishing among the top eight individuals in the Region A tournament.
She also tied with teammate Ben Pittman as the runners-up in the Class 1 state tournament.
