KING GEORGE—Bernard Washington “Junior” Howard Jr. of King George died April 17, 2018.
He was born April 6, 1964, in Fredericksburg to the late Bernard Washington Howard Sr. and Edna Arlene Howard.
Raised in Rappahannock County, he attended Caroline County schools. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spotsylvania.
Bernard was an office manager for 20 years at Shaw Industries. He was a member of Showtime Truckers.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jermon Jay Howard.
He is survived by his children Latrice Swann, Donte Howard and Felicia Griffin Ryan; grandchildren, Anisha Swann, Jakya Howard, Tyree Swann, Treasure Swann, Quevon McBeth, Avonnia McDowney, Jamichal Howard, Denae Howard, Jayleah Griffin, Carter Howard and Kingston Griffin; siblings Tor Howard, Amanda Morton and Roderick Howard.
A funeral was held Thursday, April 26, at Salem Baptist Church, King George.
