The Rebekah Circle of Bethany United Methodist Church, Reedville, held the last meeting of its September 2017 to June 2018 season on June 5.
The circle invited members of the Kilmarnock United Methodist Women to a luncheon and program, reported publicity chairman Bonnie Wilson. Attendees were treated to a program on From the Heart, presented by founder Lois Moore.
The circle does not meet in July and August; however, meetings will resume in September 2018 and are held at 1 p.m. on first Tuesdays. Anyone may attend the meetings, which often involve interesting and inspiring program presentations, said Wilson. The Circle also takes a field trip once a year to one of the area’s historic churches or museums, followed by lunch at an area restaurant.
Although there will be a two-month break from regular meetings this summer, the circle will conduct its annual “Christmas Cookies in July” outreach project next month. The circle visits shut-ins, recently bereaved and others who would benefit from a friendly visit and delicious homemade Christmas-decorated cookies, she said.
Recipients need not be members of Bethany United Methodist Church.
