Beverly L. Randolph

Beverly L. Randolph

IRVINGTON—Beverly Langhorne Randolph of Irvington passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023, at home.

Beverly was born on April 25, 1948, in Richmond. Her personality exhibited traits from both of her predeceased parents: witty and affable like her father, John “Jack” H. Randolph Jr.; and fiery and the “life of the party” like her mother, Rebecca “Reba” Meem Randolph.

Beverly is survived by her devoted sister, Becky Randolph Boyers; “favorite” brother-in-law, Scott Boyers; and her precious niece and nephew, Grace Boyers McKee (Travis) and Randolph Scott Boyers.

She adored the extended Lee family from Irvington, and that was mutual. She made a social impact everywhere she lived: Richmond, Raleigh, Myrtle Beach and Irvington, and she has been loyal to her many friends everywhere. The distinction between family, neighbor, friend and acquaintance blurred as she connected with everyone with humor and a generous, playful heart.

Beverly graduated from Collegiate School of Richmond and attended St Mary’s Junior College in Raleigh. Professionally, she spent many years in banking in Richmond and Myrtle Beach, as well as helping clients manage their personal accounting affairs.

Beverly is now with the family and friends who went before her and with her great friend Jay Alga, whose untimely passing in June left a huge hole in her life. She will be missed and remembered forever.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2, at Grace Episcopal Church in Kilmarnock, reception to follow. Private interment. Memorial suggestions forthcoming.
