Blessing of the animals service slated for Oct. 4

St. Mary’s Whitechapel will hold a St. Francis Feast Day Blessing of the Animals at 10 a.m. October 4 at the labyrinth on the church grounds, 5940 White Chapel Road, Lancaster.

This event is open to the community and is for all animals, including children’s stuffed animals and photos of both living and deceased beloved pets. This joyful service coincides with the feast of St. Francis, known for his love of animals.
