Saint Mary’s Whitechapel and Trinity Episcopal will conduct a blessing of the animals from 10:30-11 a.m. October 4 at Saint Mary’s Whitechapel Labyrinth, 5490 White Chapel Road, Lancaster.
The full worship service will include communion and individual blessings for animals, reported Aleta Embrey. Bring well-behaved dogs, cats and other beloved pets on a leash or in a carrier to be blessed in honor of the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals.
