Bobby L. Taylor

HEATHSVILLE—Bobby L. Taylor, 76, of Heathsville passed away September 26, 2019, at Riverside Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving children.

Bobby was born July 18, 1943, in Richlands, N.C. He was the son of the late, Archie Taylor and his loving mother, Minnie Ann Heath.

Preceding him in death along with his father, was his wife, Karen E. Taylor; sister, Joyce Ann Padgett; and stepfather, Clyde Heath.

Bobby enjoyed a prosperous career at Andrews Air Force Base as a manager of the mobile equipment metal mechanics division for 43 years. Bobby enjoyed fishing and was a charter captain of many boats throughout the years. He also enjoyed racing cars and watching NASCAR with his friends. Bobby was musically inclined and loved playing the guitar and singing with his friends and family. He was an avid hunter and a lifetime member of the NRA. Bobby was a devoted son who loved his mother immensely.

Along with his mother, Bobby is also survived by his companion of many years, Patricia Scott; his two daughters, Daren Owens and Sharen Taylor; and three sisters, Annette Wells, Geraldine Jarmen and Darles Burgess. He’s also survived by three granddaughters, Danielle, Jessica and Amber; and six great-grandchildren; as well as many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.

Berry O. Waddy Funeral Home of Lancaster handled the arrangements.
