The body of a man was found on Carter Creek near the end of Weems Road Friday morning, according to Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie. The man was reported missing in Irvington by family shortly after midnight August 11. Virginia State Troopers, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, Virginia Marine Police and the Kilmarnock-Lancaster County Volunteer Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
