WHITE STONE—Bonnie Jean Abbott, 62, of White Stone passed away at home peacefully on September 10, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1962, to the late and Henry Jackson “Jack” and Jean Nannette Hammond Boles.
Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Boles.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Glen A. Abbott; her brother, Kenneth Boles (Annette); sisters-in-law, Sharon Nickens (John) and Marie Abbott. She is also survived by nieces and nephew, Bristol Boles, Brandi Boles, Rachel Bowles, Ryan Boles, Danielle Somoza and Jessica Welle.
Bonnie worked for Rappahannock General Hospital and Chesapeake Medical Group for 31 years, retiring as vice president of CMG. She was dedicated to taking care of her family and loved ones. Bonnie was a member of Irvington Baptist Church and the IBC In-Touch Sisters Mission Group.
One of her greatest joys was coaching softball with her dad as well as other coaches. She coached many softball players in Little League, school junior varsity softball and travel softball teams. Those children were like family to her; she loved them all.
Bonnie was the strongest person who lived life with joy and wanted everyone who was around her to be happy. She is very loved and will be sorely missed.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 15 at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. Family received friends an hour prior to the service. Interment followed at White Stone Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bonnie’s name to the White Stone Volunteer Fire Department, Kilmarnock/Lancaster Rescue Squad, or a local charity of your choice.
