Brady Mullins earns Eagle Scout Award

Brady Mullins received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor March 3 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Reedville.

Brady Mullins, 18, of Heathsville has earned the Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank advancement award presented in Scouts BSA.

A member of Troop 250 since 2016, chartered by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Heathsville, Mullins is one of only 6% of all Scouts who attain the rank of Eagle Scout, according to Scoutmaster Rodney Miles.

To earn the rank of Eagle, each scout must attain 21 merit badges as well as demonstrate leadership, including successfully planning and completing a community service project. Mullins’ community service project benefited the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck in Kilmarnock, where he built a pergola in front of the location.

Mullins went on to earn an additional 17 merit badges and was awarded a Bronze, a Gold and a Silver Palm.
